EXTREME DODGEMS - PULSATING RACE EXPERIENCE IN THE HEART OF BIRMINGHAM!

Overview

Your chance to race the ultimate Big Boys Dodgems cars!

Real motor racing in fantastic Saloon Stockcars, with commentators and trophies.

This is real motorsport in race-prepared cars, with at least two racing Heats and a Championship Final guaranteed! Total fun in racing cars!

The event can be heavily branded if required – via the colour race-day programme, poster sites around the stadium etc.

Trophies, commentators, race marshals, pace cars etc all adding to the atmosphere.

Typical Itinerary

9.00am     Arrival        Light Refreshment / Overall fitting / programme
9.30am    Drivers“ Briefing    Presented by our Race Steward
10.00am    Racing        Groups of 8 for various in Practice Sessions and
Heats (x2) (See below).
11.30am    Finals Series        Every driver takes part in one high powered Final
12.45pm    Showdown Shoot Out    Race open to the Winner of each Final,
1.00pm    Trophy Giving Ceremony    Including Prizes and speeches
1.30pm    Departure        Clients depart at leisure

Afternoon Session Starts at 2.30pm, following a similar timetable, concluding at 6.30pm

The Experience

The core of this event is the opportunity to drive real 1300cc Saloon Stockcars. During the event, clients will be ‘coached’ by professional drivers and officials.

There will generally be 32 drivers in a session (up to a max of 40), and they will take to the track in groups of 8.

Through the course of the event, they will take part in a Practice Session (4 laps) Heat 1 (8 laps) and Heat 2 (8 laps)

Based on the points scored in their Heat sessions, the steward of the meeting will then stream competitors into their Championship Final (10 laps) – an electrifying race that will pit them against drivers of a similar ability.

The winners of the 4 Feature Finals, will line up for the Showdown Shoot Out Race (8 laps) to find the overall winner of the event.

Spectators

Spectator admission is £10 and includes Refreshments and a Programme. There are areas to watch from and the day is enjoyable for family and friends of participants.

Experience

No experience is required although the ability to drive a car is vital (although a driving licence is not required).

Travel Directions

The track is located in the centre of Birmingham, close to the Birmingham City Football Club.

Directions …
Exit the M6 at Junction 6. Follow the A38 towards the City Centre. Take the 2nd Exit, and follow the signposts towards Birmingham City Football Club. After 1.5 miles pass under a Railway bridge and turn left into Landor Street (following the signs to Birmingham Wheels Park). After a mile turn right into the Raceway and follow the signs to the Car Park.

The nearest mainline train Station is Birmingham New Street.

Cost

The Extreme Dodgems Experience costs £129.00 per person, give us a ring for full information about prices and group reductions!

Clients will experience the excitement of racing in real 1300 Saloon Stockcars – built and maintained by the top builders in the sport.

Clothing

Clients should wear warm clothing as required and ‘sensible’ shoes / trainers.

All protective clothing and waterproofs are supplied by the Incarace.

Limitations

Drivers must be reasonably fit and over 16 years old.
Maximum height is 6ft 6” and minimum is 4ft 10”
Max weight is 20 stone.

Group Size

Minimum Group Size: 1
Maximum Group Size: Generally 64 but can accommodate larger groups if required.

Weather

This activity is generally not weather dependent, but in the case of snow or ice the event may be postponed – in which case clients will be offered a range of alternative dates.

Disabled Facilities

The raceway has disabled lavatories and good wheelchair access viewing areas. In some cases, driving Stockcars is not possible for people with some disabilities.

Race Day Souvenirs

All competitors receive a souvenir programme with their name in it. Event winners receive trophies.

Availability

This event operates throughout the year, with at least one event per month from March. Available for large groups and exclusive hire on most days, while smaller groups can mainly be accommodated on weekends.

Report time

There are two sessions, “Session 1” starts at 9.30am, “Session 2” starts at 2.30pm

The arrival time for this event is between 9.00am for Session 1 participants and 2.00pm for session 2 participants.

Total Time on site is around 4 hours.

Catering

Refreshments are included and available thoughout the experience (tea, coffee, hot chocolate) – and Hot Dogs etc are available to purchase between 12 noon and 3pm
